August 13, 2009, the 11th VIP Zhejiang Merchants Salon has been held in the beautiful “Jiang Nan Hui”. Ma Yun, General Manager of Credit Center of Ping An Bank; Mao Feng Ping, manager of Ping An Bank Management Department; Pei Cheng Gang, Head of Retail Department of Ning Bo Bank; Qian Yu, General Manager of Hang Zhou Branch of Beijing Bank, have been invited to open a heated debate on the topic of “How to find the most suitable bank for the small-middle-sized enterprises” with around 30 enterprise members from Zhejiang Provincial Zhejiang Merchants Capital Investment Promotion Association. This VIP Zhejiang Merchants Salon platform has become an aggregation place of “wisdom” and “connections” for all enterprise members in a form of “Methodology Discussion with Tea”.

3 Units form a capital platform

At 2 p.m., all elites have been gathered around Jiang Nan Hui. There are filled with 30 members in this chamber which has been originally designed for 25. Many of them come from Yiwu, Zhejiang, Dongyang.

First of all, Zhu Jun Hua, CEO of Zhejiang Merchant Capital Investment Network and Vice Secretary-General of Zhejiang Provincial Zhejiang Merchants Capital Investment Promotion Association,has made the salutatory to all in this 11th VIP Zhejiang Merchants Salon. He denoted that in the midst of wealth, the capital investment has grown silently and prosperously. VIP Zhejiang Merchants Salon is a party full of ease and tea. Under such a happy and interesting environment, all participants can get acquainted with the relevant financial professionals to solve a lot of issues of their own companies, meanwhile, friendship has been developed. The 11th Salon has been divided into three parts including self-introduction, free communication, and interactive discussion. All members on participation and the guest speakers have carried out a heated debate on the bank credit and SMEs(Small-Middle Enterprises). Salon’s interactive session will always be a “major” part. Ma Yun, general manager of Ping An Bank Credit and Mortgage Center, has made the first speech on financial environment of Zhejiang, and the preferential policies offered by Ping An Bank. Pei Cheng Gang, the manager of Retailing Company of Bank of Ningbo, has also introduced the exclusive products for SMEs. Chen Xian Xing, Chairman of Hangzhou LSD Science & Techonology Co.,Ltd., has thought that the products from Zhejiang Commercial Bank are too rigid, particularly on the aspect of credibility loan, which is less flexible than the overseas banks. He has even proposed that the possibility of service in the banks of granting USD as the legal credible currency, which has triggered a lot of applause from all listeners.

During the discussion on “Financial PR(Public Relationship)”, a climax in Salon has been emerged. Xia Lu, Chairman of Hangzhou Cool & Fan Network Co., Ltd has presented that, as a SME owner, he would not remember banks only when the capital flow is off. He has denoted that, SMEs business is still under development, it’s better for their growth if they can get closer to the banks. If SMEs want more support from the banks, one prerequisite is credibility, which is a must to be accumulated from zero, and usually, it’s too late to ask help from the banks when the cash has been run out. And key point is how to communicate with the banks thoroughly, the purpose is to make the banks know and support the enterprises. Such as, making reports to the bank regularly about the business operation situation, asking the credit administrator to review the enterprise, lowering the doubts on enterprises due to the information asymmetry. Meanwhile, the enterprises should also know the banks’ credit rating assessment criteria, know what actions can gain the support from the banks, and what action can get the objection from the banks, take the initiative to meet the banking standards.

 In the end, all members have agreed that the "credibility", "efficiency", "strength" are three points to achieve win-win situations of SMEs and the banks. However, bank loans, how to resolve the issue of "tight outside and loose inside" on bank loans? It is still a point needs the deep thinking for the enterprises and the banks.
